Autumn in the southwest is a treat to the senses; the rich golden hue of the aspen leaves as they glisten on the slopes of the Sangre de Christo Mountains, the tempting aroma of a bushel of green chile as it roasts over an open fire, the coziness of that favorite sweater as you snuggle close to a piñon fire, and the comfort of those slow cooking fall favorite dishes like posole and green chile stew.

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is a fantastic way to celebrate autumn in New Mexico. The rising sun takes the chill out of the air as hundreds of balloons drift into a perfect turquoise sky, and the breakfast burritos are warm and spicy! It is no wonder there isn’t a single person with a frown on their face among the hundreds of thousands who attend the event! All of us at Relios enjoy getting to know our collectors from all over the world who visit us during Balloon Fiesta. And the smiles don’t fade after the balloons drift away … the party continues in our Balloon Fiesta Corazon booth #45, where together we discover exciting forgotten treasures, including great deals on retired favorite designs, one-of–a-kind pieces and samples. Then it’s off to Old Town Albuquerque and two of our favorite places, the Romero Street Gallery and The Albuquerque Museum (Click here for directions from Balloon Fiesta Park).
