Relios, Inc. Showcases Collections by Native American Designers
Las Vegas, NV -- May 28, 2003 -- Relios, Inc., an Albuquerque, New Mexico jewelry company, features and manufactures the designs of five Native American artists. The featured designers are Award winning artists and yearly participants at the prestigious Heard Museum and Santa Fe Indian Market.
Relios, Inc. has developed this niche Native American business by manufacturing the designs that were at one time, one-of-a-kind pieces available only to those who attended Native American events such as the Santa Fe Indian Market, or traveled to the galleries of the Southwest. By translating the intricate individuality of each original handmade piece by the designer, Relios has created unique collections that are not only more accessible, and affordable, but are re-orderable to the better retailer.
The featured Native American Artists are:
Roderick Tenorio - is an accomplished jeweler, sculptor and painter from Santo Domingo Pueblo, located south of Santa Fe, N.M. In his designs, Roderick draws from many centuries of tribal history, religion, myths and characters. His unique symbolic interpretations have earned him numerous esteemed jewelry awards at the Santa Fe Indian Market and the Heard Museum.
Victoria Adams - is a member of the Southern Cheyenne tribes of Oklahoma, and is widely recognized for her stunning designs that feature unique combinations of color, texture, and material. By juxtaposing precious metals and gemstones with plant, animal and human forms, Victoria expresses her rich heritage. Her many awards include “Best of Division” at the Santa Fe Indian Market and the Heard Museum.
Andrew Rodriguez - a native of Laguna Pueblo is inspired by Pueblo culture, often honoring the spirit of the animal in his creative sculptures.
Dina Huntinghorse - a native of the Great Plains blends traditional and contemporary jewelry techniques to create wearable art.
Nancy & Ruddell Laconsello – are artists from the Zuni Pueblo, and are regarded as masters in the craft of inlay.
